Why choose your pet's food with your vet?

Food is the foundation of health: the right diet prevents disease, strengthens the immune system, controls weight and improves skin and coat. Each species, breed, age and state of health needs a different approach.

That's why we don't just sell food: we advise you so your pet gets what it needs at every stage, and we monitor its weight and condition to adjust the diet when necessary.

Nutritional advice is worthwhile if your pet…
  • Is overweight or has lost weight for no clear reason.
  • Has a chronic condition: kidney disease, diabetes, allergies, digestive problems.
  • Is moving to a new life stage: puppy, adult or senior, with different needs.
  • Has a dull coat or recurring skin problems.
  • Is about to switch food and you want to do it properly.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Which food is most suitable for my dog or cat?

It depends on their age, size, health, activity and specific needs. In the consulting room we assess each case and recommend balanced foods formulated by vets that suit their real requirements. There's no single answer for everyone.

What's the difference between veterinary food and supermarket food?

Veterinary foods tend to have higher-quality ingredients, controlled formulas and scientific backing. They can help prevent and manage conditions such as allergies, obesity or kidney and digestive problems, which basic commercial foods don't aim to do.

Can I change my pet's food from one day to the next?

It's not advisable. Changes should be made gradually, mixing the new food with the old one over 7 to 10 days, to avoid diarrhoea, vomiting or loss of appetite. We'll show you how to do it properly.

Do you offer diets for pets with health problems?

Yes. We stock therapeutic diets for kidney failure, allergies and intolerances, diabetes and excess weight, gastrointestinal problems and heart or joint health. They improve quality of life and require veterinary follow-up.

Are supplements needed in the diet?

Only when there's a diagnosed deficiency or disease. A poorly chosen supplement can cause imbalances, so it should always be recommended by a vet after assessing your pet.

Care for your pet with peace of mind.

We give you a fixed quote after the assessment. No surprises, no rush.
